Dear Livingston Library Community,
The Lunar New Year is coming right up, and your Library is ready to welcome the Year of the Dog with you! We have a host of opportunities for patrons of all ages to learn about and celebrate the holiday. The youth services department is already adorned with children’s artwork from the Livingston Chinese School’s Sketch Class. From February 15th till the end of the month, we’ll be showcasing a beautiful exhibit of Chinese calligraphy and painting by artist Du Li in the glass cabinets at our entrance. Near the cafe, adults will find displays of English-language books about China and new and popular books in Mandarin from our World Language Collection. Best of all, we’ll be holding our first trilingual storytime on Tuesday, February 13th! In this innovative program, children aged two to seven accompanied by a caregiver will enjoy stories and songs in Chinese, Korean, and English, and then make a New Year-related craft together. (Space in the program is limited so make your reservation without delay.) We can hardly wait for the Lunar New Year to begin!
And remember, at Livingston Library we bring you the world.
All the best,
Director – Livingston Library
