Genetic tests. Everyone’s doing it, and after reading Dani Shapiro’s Inheritance you might be thinking about doing it as well.
If you’re thinking about Genetic Testing, but have some questions the Livingston Library is here to help! On Monday, November 11 at 7pm, Ushta Davar Canteenwalla, a licensed board certified genetic counselor with over 14 years of experience in clinical genetics, will be at the library to present Genetics and You: The Genetic Expert’s Guide to at Home Genetic Tests. She will be discussing the information that genetic tests can give the consumer (health information, ancestry information, etc.), clinical grade genetic testing vs. direct to consumer genetic testing, as well as privacy concerns you may have regarding the testing.
Registration is required for this event. You can learn more about the program, as well as register for it here.
Hope to see you there!
