Post apocalyptic fiction that’s under 150 pages? Yes, please!
Our next Read It & Eat book club choice explores new motherhood during the aftermath of a giant flood that leaves London totally submerged. Megan Hunter’s novel The End We Start From is the perfect read to get you thinking but not take up too much of your time, and Kirkus Book Review notes it as being “a haunting take on modern disaster.” So stop on into the library and give it a try! Print copies are available the the Patron Services Desk, and an e-book and an e-audiobook version is available via Hoopla.
The next Read It & Eat book club meeting will be held on Monday, April 29 at 12pm, at Livingston Bagel located at 37 E Northfield Rd. This book club is designed for busy people stopping in on their lunch hour for a quick bite to eat, those taking a coffee break during their weekly errands, or those who just want to drop in and see what it’s all about!
Registration is appreciated, and you can do so via our event calendar.
