Did you that the Livingston Public Library provides services that you can access from the comfort of your own home?  It’s true! We have services that stem beyond, but definitely includes, books for all ages. 

Adults: 

Lectures and Workshops

Do you love attending library programs and lectures?  The Livingston Public Library offers access to two virtual class softwares: Gale Courses and Universal Class. With these online learning platforms you can take courses in everything from finance and medicine to real estate, self help, and more! 

Crafts and Creative Arts:

We know you love to get crafty.  (We do too!) The Library’s brand new subscription to Creativebug, an online crafting platform for inspiration and diy tutorials can help you get crafty at home. With Creativebug, the possibilities are endless.  You’ll find knitting and crochet patterns, scrapbooking, CBTV and more! 

Books:

Books, books, and more books!  You can get both ebooks and audiobooks right from your mobile device and / or desktop at home! Both Hoopla and Overdrive / Libby can be accessed via apps downloaded onto your mobile device / tablet or through the web.  

Overdrive / Libby also has a collection of popular titles that you can check out right now with no wait list! 

Movies and More:

If you’re looking for movies, television shows, music, or comics, Hoopla has you covered here as well.  Their collection stems beyond ebooks and audiobooks and into the media sphere.  You can rock out to  Imagine Dragons or curl up under a blanket and watch Legally Blonde

Magazines: 

If you’re a magazine lover, you can access RBDigital for current magazines as well as back issues! From Good Housekeeping, to the Economist, and New York, there’s something for everyone’s specific interests.

The News:

If you’re looking to keep up on current local and national events, you can access digital versions of the New York Times and Star Ledger from home with your Livingston Library card.  In addition to these two digital newspapers you can also access ValueLine.

Youth Services:

Wondering how you are going to prepare for your next big test?  Access Tutor.com for live one-on-one test prep, homework help, and, you guessed it, tutoring!  

Read up on Women’s History Month, browse new children’s books, enjoy a read-along or snuggle in with an old favorite on Overdrive / Libby – Kids

In addition to everything mentioned above, children can satisfy their quest for knowledge with digital access to World Book Kids.  There you can find information, games, activities and more!
