We had some wonderful virtual and in-person adult programs take place during the month of April. Here is a quick recap of what happened at the Library this month!
We enjoyed virtual lectures such as Back to Bach and Secret Museums of NYC! We also enjoyed some in-person lectures such as Positive Aging and Master the Job Interview.
National Wildlife Week and Earth Day are both celebrated in April. In honor of caring for our planet we enjoyed workshops on Small Space Gardening and All About Rain Gardens! Our April adult art workshop also celebrated the planet, by crafting Whimsical Fairy Gardens.
Those looking to get crafty also enjoyed our Pinterest Inspired Adult Craft, where we made mason jar suncatchers, and our drop-in Color Your Stress Away and Crafternoon groups.
April is also National Poetry Month. Aspiring poets and lovers of verse joined us in the Library’s program room for a Poetry Writing Workshop with Catherine Doty of the Writer’s Circle!
Those looking to enjoy an evening film joined us in the Library’s program room for our monthly Classic Movie Tuesday. It was wonderful to enjoy a classic film with friends in the program room!
We wouldn’t be a library without books! Readers came together to discuss select monthly titles at our Let’s Talk About Books, Unstuck in Time, Crime Time, and Bookish Vibes book groups!
We also enjoyed a special Senior Happening taking place both in-person and virtually on Zoom, where Vivid Stage presented a “Vivid Cabaret.”
Be sure to visit our events calendar to see what fun and engaging events we have planned for May.
See you next month!
