We enjoyed some awesome adult programming this August. Here’s a recap of what happened at the #LtownLibrary this month.
Our Adult Summer Reading Program: Tails and Tales finished this month. Participants were able to earn raffle tickets for weekly prize drawings. Two lucky winners won brand new Kindles!
We enjoyed our drop-in Color Your Stress Away program in the adult seating area. We loved being able to catch up while we colored our worries away.
We also enjoyed two crafting programs this month. We joined the Livingston Library librarians inside the library for our in-person Pinterest Inspired Adult Craft where we made custom face masks! We also enjoyed a virtual Adult Art Workshop, where we learned how to make beautiful Paper Quilling creations!
We escaped the heat this month and enjoyed some Oscar award winning films in the Library’s program room with our Weekends With the Oscars program. We watched The Father and Nomadland.
We enjoyed another virtual performance for this month’s Senior Happening. Rhonda Denet presented “The Unforgettable Nat and Natalie Cole.”
We also enjoyed two book clubs this month. Our virtual Bookish Vibes book club met to discuss books by best selling author Wendy Wax. Wendy joined us on Zoom to discuss her latest novel The Breakup Book Club. Our Unstuck in Time book club met in person this month to discuss Douglas Adams’ 1979 novel The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.
Stay tuned and be sure to visit our events calendar for all the wonderful programs we have planned for September.
