*Attention all book lovers!*
The Livingston Public Library is excited to announce a new evening book club called Bookish Vibes, which will meet on the third Thursday of the month at 7pm! Bookish Vibes is all about “vibing” with a great read. Selected titles will be trending works and popular authors with a focus on contemporary fiction. Readers will discuss the book as well as their own bookish thoughts about the work, writing, and act of reading.
Our first meeting will be held on Thursday, January 16 at 7pm, where we will be discussing Daisy Jones and the Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid, which received a starred review from Kirkus stating “Reid’s novel so resembles a memoir of a real band and conjures such true-to-life images of the seventies music scene that readers will think they’re listening to Fleetwood Mac or Led Zeppelin. Reid is unsurpassed in her ability to create complex characters working through emotions that will make your toes curl.”
Interested in joining us? Copies of the book are currently available for checkout at the Patron Services desk.
But that’s not all! We are also planning to have authors Skype into select Bookish Vibes group meetings. Stay tuned and check out the Library’s event calendar for future Skype dates! All bibliophiles are welcome to the group meeting. We hope to see you there!
