December Book Clubs @ the Livingston Public Library

Are you looking to join a virtual book club?  If so, the Livingston Public Library is the place for you.  We offer three different book clubs, where you can discuss what you’ve read with fellow readers just like you!

Unstuck in Time: This book club is perfect for those who enjoy reading the classics and / or speculative fiction.  In this club, you’ll discuss a classic speculative fiction title as well as what ideas these works might inspire in the year 2020 and beyond.  The next Unstuck in Time Book Club is scheduled for Wednesday, December 2 at 7pm. The title to be discussed is currently TBD.

Let’s Talk About Books: Our popular afternoon book discussion group is back via a zoom.  Meeting via Zoom. Let’s Talk About Books discusses contemporary literature titles.  The next Let’s Talk About Books meeting is scheduled to take place on Friday, December 11 at 12:45pm, and attendees will be discussing  “News of the World,” by Paulette Jiles.

Bookish Vibes: If you’re a book lover looking to discuss popular titles and authors, your bookish thoughts, and even zoom in with the authors during select meetings, this book club is for you! Our Bookish Vibes book club is all about vibing with a great read! If you have read a book by the selected monthly author in the past, come to the book club to share your  thoughts.  If you are new to the author or looking for a good book to read, pick up a copy of a selected title at the Patron Services Desk to read and discuss at the meeting! The next Bookish Vibes book club meeting will be on Monday, December 14 at 7pm, where we will be discussing books by Heather Gudenkauf.

The Livingston Public Library’s virtual book clubs will take place via Zoom.  All readers are welcome to attend, but registration is required.  Readers can register via the Library’s event calendar, here.  The day before the meeting, an email with information on how to access the Zoom event will be sent to you.  Copies of the monthly titles are also available to check out from the Library.  For information contactless and in person check out procedures please visit the Library’s website.

We can’t wait to see you at one of these meetings!
