Do You Read All The Books You Take Home?

Books, books, and more books! The list of books that we want to read, should read, and are recommended to read is forever expanding.  We check out books (from the library, of course), but we also buy books and are often lent books from friends. But how often do you actually read all the books you take home?

If I’m checking a book out from the library, I usually end up reading it rather quickly (especially if it’s a new release).  If I end up purchasing a book, sometimes that book will end up sitting in my to-read pile for months…or even years if it was an impulse buy.

So, what’s the longest book (time-wise) that has been sitting in your to-read pile waiting to be read?

Here’s what some of the Livingston Library Adult Services Librarians have to say:

Jessica: I have books in my to read pile that easily date back 9 years.

Katie:  Has had Dead Wake by Eric Larson in her pile for about 1 year now.

Joseph: Has books in his to read pile for over a decade.

Chris: Has books in her to read pile for 1 year.
