We had some wonderful virtual and in-person adult programs take place during the month of February. Here is a quick recap of what happened at the Library this month!
We celebrated Black History Month with a virtual lecture on Sammy Davis Jr: ”The Ultimate Mystery is One’s Own Self,”presented by John Kenrick. We also will be enjoying a lecture on Rock & Roll: From the Blues to the British Invasion presented by Paul Groom (on the 28th!) which will take us on the journey of how a form of African American folk songs became the basis for a musical industry that has lasted decades.
We also enjoyed our Classic Movie Tuesday with a screening of Monsoon Wedding.
Aspiring writers were able to hone their skills at our Livi Writes: Memoir Writing Workshop hosted by Barbara Wornton. Stay tuned for more writing programs coming in April and March!
We also got crafty this month with so many fun and artistic events! We will be enjoying our Pinterest Inspired Adult Craft: Painted Bud Vases (on the 28th), we also enjoyed our drop-in Crafternoon, drop-in Color Your Stress Away, and our Adult Art Workshop where we learned to make watercolor earrings.
Our monthly Senior Happening performance took place in-person this month, where Linda Kenyon presented “Julia Child.”
We also enjoyed talking about books this month with our monthly book clubs including: Bookish Vibes (& author visit with Sharon Doering), Let’s Talk About Books, Unstuck in Time, and Crime Time.
Be sure to visit our events calendar to see what fun and engaging events we have planned for March.
See you next month!
