February might be a short month, but it was jam packed with some awesome adult programs!
On February 4, library goers learned all about the ABCs of Candy. That’s right! Candy for every letter of the alphabet. The best part? Everyone got to sample the sweet treats.
On February 6 we hosted another Lunch & Learn Tax Workshop with Debbie Taylor. Attendees learned all about the New Tax Act and its potential impact on their finances.
Lynda Cohen Loigman, author of The Two Family House and The Wartime Sisters came to visit us for our Meet the Author program. She talked about her newest novel, took us through the journey of how she wrote and researched it, and signed copies of her book!
We also hosted our first offsite book club called Read It & Eat that met at Livingston Bagel during lunchtime. Our next meeting is on Monday, March 25 at 12pm. Stop by or drop in! We will be reading Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris. Copies can be checked out at our Patron Services Desk.
Everyone loves our Adult Paint Night. This month artist Erica Pizza taught our attendees how to paint a beautiful portrait of Lovebirds. We had so much fun!
New Star Art Center (Shi Ying Dance) put on a beautiful performance at our Lunar New Year Celebration. We celebrated with dancing, singing, and music played on traditional Chinese instruments.
Paint nights and dancing are both a lot of fun, but now let’s talk business…Facebook for Business that is. On February 25 we learned all about how one can use Facebook to promote their business and expand their outreach.
Do your computer skills need some brushing up? Our Microsoft Excel 101 took participants through the basics of Excel spreadsheets. Stay tuned for more computer classes coming soon.
And who doesn’t love some good old rock & roll? We ended February with America’s Great Poets, Rock and Roll Lyricists. There’s poetry in everything.
But this isn’t all. We also had many Book Clubs, our Creative Writing Group, our monthly Senior Happening, Movies, and so much MORE.
Check out our calendar to see what’s happening the month of March. We can’t wait to see you!
