February Virtual Adult Programming Wrap Up

February may be a short month, but it was full of some wonderful virtual adult events.  Here’s a recap of what happened during the month of February.

We began February with an art lecture on Famous African American Artists presented by Suzanne Altman in honor of Black History Month.

We also enjoyed entertaining lectures on such as The President is Dead! The Deaths & Remembrances of the American Presidents with Louis Picone and Living Dangerously on Film: A history of Movie Stunts with Max Alvarez.  It’s hard to believe some of those stunts we see in the movies!

We enjoyed learning tips and tricks about how write the best book with author Tere Michaels during the workshop Writing Your Best Book, part of the Livi Writes programming series.

We learned how to keep our bodies and relationships healthy with lectures such as Heart Health Matters with Jennifer Shukaitis, MPH, Cancer Education Series: Eating Healthy for Cancer Prevention in partnership with the Center for Asian Health (CAH ) at the St Barnabas  Medical Center and the Rutgers Cancer Institute of NJ (CINJ), and Maintaining Healthy Relationships: Advice for Couples with Dr. Leslie Becker-Phelps.

We also learned how to keep healthy herb gardens used for cooking during the workshop The Cook’s Herb Garden with Master Gardener Caren White.

We got crafty this month with our adult take-home project Pinterest Inspired Adult Crafting: Wine Glass Painting and enjoyed an on demand Patriotic Cello Concert with local cellist Randy Calistri-Yeh.

We also enjoyed our Let’s Talk About Books and Unstuck in Time book clubs, as well as our Bookish Vibes book club which included an author visit with Beth Harbison!

Be sure to visit the Library’s event calendar to see what amazing programs we have planned for the month of March. We can’t wait to see you at our virtual events!
