Firefly Lane is my absolute favorite Kristin Hannah novel. A tale of friendship between two characters named Tully and Kate, the story begins in 1974 when the two are teenagers and follows the characters through the decades up until the 2000s. It’s a tale of friendship that withstands the test of time and changes as their lives do. It’s a story of how friendship, while never perfect, can overcome hurdles such as heartbreak, jealousy, and health issues. Firefly Lane is one of the few contemporary novels that I have read over and over again. Each time I read the novel I find a new appreciation of the friendship the book portrays, for the struggles of the characters, and for the friendship ( while not perfect) is always there.
