Just in time for the spring gardening season, Adam Palmer of the Great Swamp Watershed Association (www.greatswamp.org) gave a very informative talk on this subject last month.
He spoke about best practices for gardening with the environment in mind including advice and tips on gardening to conserve water, gardening with native plants and to attract beneficial species, reducing yard runoff, using natural/organic products, and reducing the environmental impact of lawn care, among others.
