In Memory of Thea White

The Livingston Public Library is sad to announce the passing of a member of the Livingston family, Thea White. Many of you may remember Thea from her years of librarianship and outreach, as well as her work with our popular Senior Happening program series.

While Thea was well known in our community, she also had an international following as well. She voiced Muriel Bagge on Courage the Cowardly Dog which ran on Cartoon Network from 1999-2002, as well as voiced Muriel in the 2006 video game “Cartoon Network Racing.” and the upcoming crossover movie Courage the Cowardly Dog and Scooby-Doo .

Thea was a beloved colleague known for her wit, personality and friendliness. She was always the first to share words of encouragement and cheer. Her joyous presence will linger with all who knew her. We will miss her greatly.

  1. This is truly a devastating loss. We heard her speak so eloquently and effusively in Dec 2016 at the final farewell party of Sumona.
There were other memorable exchanges afterward too. Our family will greatly miss her.
