Dear Livingston Library Community,
It’s Food for Fines Week! Here at the library we spend most of our time feeding hearts and minds. However, every September we take time to help provide food to feed our friends and neighbors in need.
From September 23rd through the 30th, the Library will be accepting non-perishable, packaged food items in place of fines and donating them to Livingston Neighbors Helping Neighbors. This initiative allows patrons to clear up fines that may have accrued over the summer and, at the same time, benefits the hungry in our community.
So get those jars of peanut butter and cans of tuna fish ready, and let the donations to LNHN start rolling in. We’re proud to partner with you in such a worthy cause!
“I have the audacity to believe that people everywhere can have three meals a day for their bodies, education and culture for the minds and dignity, equality and freedom for their spirits.” Martin Luther King, Jr.
All the best,
Amy
