Learn Something New! Brush Up On Your Tech Skills

The Covid-19 pandemic has placed an emphasis on the importance of technology for work, shopping, connecting with loved ones, and so much more.  Are you looking to brush up on your computer skills?  The Library is here to help! 

When you visit the Library’s website and navigate over to the Resources A-Z page, you will see that the Livingston Public Library has access to DigitalLearn.  DigitalLearn contains short (about 15 minute) lessons on basic computer skills and functions.  

The lessons offered on DigitalLearn are broken down into the following categories:

Starting Out – Including lessons on Why Use a ComputerNavigating a Website, Intro to Email, Basic Search, Searching Videos on Youtube, Introduction to Google Maps, and more.

Being Safe Online – Including lessons on Accounts and Passwords, Online Scams, and Internet Privacy.

Job Skills – Including lessons on Creating Resumes, Online Job Searches, Applying for Jobs Online.

Being Productive – Including lessons on Microsoft Word, Cloud Storage, Creating a Basic Budget with Excel, Online Health Information, Using Heathcare.gov to Enroll in Health Insurance, and Using MyHealthFinder for Preventative Healthcare.

Connecting With Others – Including lessons on Intro to Skype and Intro to Facebook.

Mobile Devices – Including lessons on Using a Mobile Device (Android).

Online Shopping – Including lessons on Buying a Plane Ticket
