Close your eyes and imagine the sound of the waves crashing along the shore, of seagulls overhead, and the taste of New England clam chowder. Let’s all take a trip to Nantucket. While I’ve never actually have physically been to Nantucket, I’ve been there countless times through reading, to the point where it feels like a second home. So let’s do it! Here are three of my favorite reads available through the Livingston Public Virtual Library. Give them a try and be magically transported to the Nantucket coast.
Surfside Sisters by Nancy Thayer
This is one of my favorite Nancy Thayer Nantucket reads! Keely and Isabelle were best friends all of their lives and both aspired to be famous writers. Keely’s dream came true and she moved to NYC, became a best selling novelist. When Keely’s mother falls into a deep depression, she must return home to Nantucket, to Isabelle, and to Isabelle’s brother… a man she always had a crush on.

The Identicals by Elin Hilderbrand
I adore Elim Hilderbrand. This novel takes place on the two sister islands of Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard, where two twin sisters (who do not get along) respectfully reside. This novel is all about the relationships of siblings.

The Beach House by Jane Green
Sixty-five year old Nan Powell lives alone in a house on Nantucket. Unfortunately, her money is beginning to dwindle and to keep her life the way it is, she has to do something she has never done before- allow summer rentals into her home.
