March Adult Programming Wrap Up

We had some wonderful virtual and in-person adult programs take place during the month of March.  Here is a quick recap of what happened at the Library this month!

We celebrated Women’s History Month with a virtual lecture on America’s First Ladies: The Good, the Bad, and the Strangely Forgotten Leslie Goddard. We also enjoyed a virtual lecture on Dorothea Lange: Pioneer of PhotoJournalism presented by art enthusiast and educator Sylvia Laudien-Meo.

Those interested in art enjoyed a hybrid lecture taking place both in-person and on Zoom on Yayoi Kusama: The Moment is Imminent presented by Janet Madel. Art enthusiasts also had some wonderful opportunities to get crafty this month with a Paint by Number adult art workshop instructed by Robin Johnson, our drop-in Crafternoon adult craft, and Color Your Stress Away adult coloring group!

March was also NJ Makers Month. To celebrate NJ Maker culture the library hosted some wonderful events for all ages including Take Home Tote Bag and Take Home Keychain crafts for adults!

We also enjoyed our Classic Movie Tuesday with a screening of All About My Mother.

Aspiring writers were able to learn about the writing and publishing process during Livi Writes: Writing & Publishing lecture hosted by Mark Vogel. Stay tuned for more writing programs coming in April!

Those looking forward to spring flowers enjoyed a hybrid lecture (both in-person and on Zoom) on Bloodroot, Bluebells, and Butterflies: Spring Beauties for Biodiversity presented by Master Gardener Deb Ellis. We also enjoyed a nature filled in-person lecture on Beekeeping and Harvesting Honey 101 where local beekeeper Lior Shliechkorn gave ys introduction into the fascinating world of beekeeping and harvesting of honey.

Our monthly Senior Happening performance took place in-person this month, where Fred Miller presented “Judy Garland: Lecture-In-Song.” Refreshments also returned during this month’s Senior Happening. (Thank you to our Friends of the Library Volunteers who helped out during this  fabulous event!)

We also enjoyed talking about books this month with our monthly book clubs including: Bookish Vibes (& author visit with Deb Caletti), Let’s Talk About Books, Unstuck in Time, and Crime Time

Be sure to visit our events calendar to see what fun and engaging events we have planned for April.

See you next month!
