May Adult Programming Wrap-Up

The warm weather has officially arrived! With the wave of sunshine (and lot of rain) came waves of awesome adult programs.

Early in the month, Ethelyn Geschwind, CEO of Perfect Prep, joined us to present a program on Interview Prep. Attendees learned all about how to succeed at upcoming and future job interviews.

We got crafty at our Paper Quilling Workshop.  Artist April Zay should participants how to make beautiful and intricate paper quilled designs.

Author Julie Maloney visited us to talk about her novel, A Matter of Chance.  Her novel follows the story of a little girl who goes missing down at the Jersey shore.  You can reserve a copy of her book here.

Part 3 of our Spring Gardening program series concluded with Soils & Fertilizers.  Participants learned about what was best to make their plants flourish.

Last month we learned about Gardening for the Environment, and this month we learned about Environmentally Sound Cleaning Products!  The great Swamp Watershed Association gave us some great tips and recipes for homemade and effective cleaning products!

Are you thinking about starting a business from home?  This month, Courtney Jackson of Score gave us tips and pointer how to manage one in her program Starting and Managing a Successful Home Based Business.

After being postponed do the the snow, we finally were able to host The Inventor in You with Charles Kannankeril!  It was an inspiring program.

We also showed a movie screening of Shalom Bollywood.  Did you miss it?  Stay tuned for our next showing of the movie this fall!

Many people look towards gluten-free diets for their health.  Our program Gluten Free, Is it Right for Me?, presented by a registered dietitian at the Kogan Celiac Center of RWJ Barnabas Health talked all about the  diet and what you need to know.

Have you been wanting to borrow e-books from our e-libraries but weren’t quite sure where to s tart?  Our tech program How to Borrow E-books & E-audiobooks showed attendees how to download their favorite titles on their own mobile devices!

Trivia Night was back this month with some exciting round of questions and Advanced Reader Copy prize giveaways!

We also hosted many other programs including: Color Your Stress Away, Saturday at the Movies, Cookbook Club, Feminist Fare Book Club, Get Lit Book Club, Let’s Talk About Books, Senior Happening, It’s a Writer’s Thing, and more!
