Did you know that the Livingston Library has displays and exhibits?
For the month of May, the Library showcased a delightful variety of artworks created by middle school students of the Livingston school district.
Under the direction of MPMS art teacher Alexandra Fiore, 6th graders created abstract “Action Jackson” inspired paintings using India ink and string; Greek theater mask style relief sculptures displaying emotions using cardboard, styrofoam and aluminum foil,; and silhouette drawings.
HMS students were led by art teachers Janice Reis and Jordan Montgomery.
7th graders created a 3D mask painting based on a specific emotion, and inspired by Expressionism.
8th graders created watercolor landscape collages inspired by the Hudson River School.
Stay tuned for June’s Display!
