Livingston Library Community,
As the leaves turn their brilliant hues of goldenrod and amber and the air begins to feel crisp, here at the Livingston Library we are looking forward to the wonderful October themed programs we have planned.
October 20th is National Osteoporosis Day, so what better way to acknowledge this than by attending “Love Your Bones,” a virtual lecture through Zoom in partnership with Kessler Rehab. In this 11am presentation, Jenna Cotugno PT, DPT, will discuss the importance of skeletal bone health across various age groups from children to the elderly.
For those looking to embrace the spooky season, the Library will be hosting a lecture on the “Mysteries of the Paranormal” on October 15 at 7pm. In this lecture, L’Aura Hladik Hoffman, Founder/Director of the NJ Ghost Hunters Society will be diving into all sorts of creepy topics from ghosts and legends to the dos and don’ts of the ouija board.
Children will also be able to enjoy autumn and halloween themed programming this month with a Virtual Puppet Show performed by the WonderSpark Puppets on October 22 at 4pm. Children will also be able to dance and sing along to a Halloween Themed Musical Storytime on Monday, October 26!
We love to get crafty, and this month we have fun seasonal crafts planned for both children and adults. Monster Crafts for children ages 3-7 will be available to take home the week of October 26, (while supplies last), so make sure you stop by the library to take one home! Adults will also be able to get seasonally crafty with Pinterest Inspired Adult Crafting: Festive Fall Beading. Registration for this self guided adult craft opens on October 12th.
Be sure to visit the Library’s event calendar for registration information as well as to see what other wonderful programs we have planned for the month of October.
We can’t wait to see you at these programs!
