Message From The Director: Automatic Renewals are Coming to the Livingston Public Library

Don’t you just hate it when you forget to renew your library book?  We understand! That’s why the Livingston Public Library is excited to announce the implementation of auto-renewals.

Auto-renewals will begin on February 14th!  This means that 3 days before your item is due it will be automatically renewed, as long as it is not reserved by another person.  If you enable email or text notifications, you will automatically be alerted to auto-renewals and due dates for all items checked out to your account.  Exempt auto-renewals consist of those on request for another patron or items that have been renewed the maximum amount of times.  Items also will not renew if your card has expired, you owe $10 or more in fines, or you have 10 or more items overdue.

You can still renew eligible items at any time through your account or at the library.  All members are strongly encouraged to check the status of their account online, or call our main desk at (973) 992-4600.

For more details on how auto-renewals will work with your account, please call or visit the Library.  We are here to help!
