Honey bees are an important part of our ecosystem. Did you know that Livingston is home to a local beekeeper and honey harvester? Buzz on into the Library on Wednesday, March 30th at 11am and join Livingston beekeeper Lior Shliechkorn in the Library’s program room for Beekeeping and Harvesting Honey 101 as we learn all about the world of beekeeping and harvesting of honey.
During this in-person lecture, Lior will give us an overview of the importance of bees to our ecosystem, how bees are kept, what it’s like inside the hive, and the dos and don’ts for taking care of and maintaining healthy hives. Lior will also discuss the many products that are originated from bees, as well as the honey harvesting process, and the benefits of honey!
