Message from the Director: Classic Movie Tuesdays

Livingston Library Community,

Is there anything better to do on a crisp fall evening than enjoying a movie? I don’t think so!

Step out of the crisp autumn air and into the Livingston Public Library and join us on Tuesday, November 23rd at 7pm for our monthly Classic Movie Tuesday! Located in the Library’s program room, you can enjoy a free movie screening of a selected classic film– no movie tickets or registration required!

This Tuesday’s movie showing will be Marjane Satrapi’s 2007 classic “Persepolis.” Persepolis is based off of Strapi’s autobiographical graphic novel which takes place in 1970s-1980s Iran and follows Strapi’s growth from childhood to adulthood during pre and post-revolutionary Iran. This film has earned universal praise from critics, and was nominated for Best Animated Feature at the 80th Academy Awards.

If you’re a movie buff, looking to enjoy more films similar to this, be sure to check out the Library’s subscription to Kanopy. There are thousands of movies to enjoy on those chilly fall nights.

Best,

Amy Babcock, Director
