Livingston Library Community,

What if there was something small that you could do to help make the world a better place? Here in the U.S., we are quickly approaching Election Day.  Election Day is on Tuesday, November 3, 2020, as is the deadline for post office receipt of mail in ballots and the in person submission of mail in ballots to the County Boards of Elections.

Due to the Covid-19 Public Health Crisis, New Jersey is using the vote by mail system for this election. If you are new to filling out paper ballots, the New Jersey Division of Elections has resources to help walk you through this remote voting process. For information on how vote by mail ballots work, how many ballots you can drop off at once, how to fill out the envelope, and more, visit the New Jersey Division of Elections FAQ page, here.  If you’re feeling a little worrisome about voting by mail for the first time, you can track your ballots online through the My Voter Record portal, here

If you have additional questions, the following voting hotlines are available to assist you through each stage of the election and voting process:

1-866-OUR-VOTE (866-687-8683)
1-888-VE-Y-VOTA (en Español)
1-888-API-VOTE (Asian multilingual assistance)

Looking to learn more? You can also learn more about the presidential election process as well as local state and municipal elections through USA.gov and discover more voting resources compiled by Livingston Library staff on the Library’s blog.  As we approach election day, remember that your vote counts and your public library here to assist with connecting you to informational resources.

Get out there and vote!

Amy, Director
