Jewelry tells a story in and of itself. That’s why the Livingston Public Library is pleased to invite you to a visual and hands on lecture on Costume Jewelry: A Cultural Stroll Through the Decades. Marilyn Visakay, certified personal property appraiser and financial adviser, will highlight how American costume jewelry evolved and changed throughout the decades in the 20th century. Visakey will discuss various jewelry shapes and materials, as well as how culture, industrialization, Hollywood, and the fashion industry impacted the designs of costume jewelry.
Participants are strongly encouraged to bring a piece of their own costume jewelry with them to the program. Registration is required, so sign up today!
