Message from the Director: Explore the High Line: In-Person and on Zoom!

Livingston Library Community,

The New York City High Line might only be a mile and half long, but it is full of rich history. This Monday at 7pm, the Livingston Public Library invites you to take a walk on the High Line and join guest lecturer, photographer, and historian, Mario Meidici, for a lecture exploring how the High Line was transformed from a historic elevated freight rail into one of New York City’s most popular parks.

This lecture will also be the first hybrid program to be offered by the library, taking place both in-person and on virtually Zoom! Drop-in to the library’s program room to listen to the lecture in-person, or if you prefer, tune in to the lecture from the comfort of your own home via Zoom.

Registration is not required to attend the event in-person, but is required if attending virtually. Information on how to access the event through Zoom will be emailed to registrants the day of the event. You can register here.

We hope to “see” you at this first hybrid event and look forward to offering more in 2022!

Best,

Amy Babcock, Director

  1. I register for the Highline Zoom.

I don’t see how to get on Zoom tomorrow.

    When will that be sent?

I registered today under my husband’s name but my id. You can delete that.

  2. I am sorry I was unable to attend tonight, Amy, as I had a virtual class with the School of Practics\al Philosophy at the same time. Is there some way I can see it on a replay, Amy? I hope so! Thanks.

    1. Hi Mary, Unfortunately last night’s lecture on the High Line was not recorded. We hope to see you at one of our upcoming lectures. -Jessica, Interim Head of Adult Services & Acquisitions
