Message From the Director: Get Crafty With the LTown Library

Livingston Library Community,

Do you miss the Livingston Public Library’s Pinterest Inspired Adult Crafting program?  It was the perfect place to get crafty with our Livingston librarians in an unstructured and creative environment.

Good news! The Livingston Public Library will be offering our Pinterest Inspired Adult Crafting program as a take home craft.  During the week of July 20, you can stop by the library to pick up all the supplies you need to make painted rocks.  Registration is required and can be done so here.  When picking up your supplies, be sure to follow our contactless pickup procedure. In your packet, you will be given a link to a video tutorial and instructions on how to complete your craft.

And we have exciting news for young creatives entering 4, 5, and 6 grade in the fall. Adventure With Watercolor is a four week class where participants will learn how to create modern, fun works of art using watercolor paint. Taught by our librarian Gina, the class is offered virtually and all art supplies are provided by the library (just add water!) All artistic levels are welcome; registration begins on July 6.

If you’re looking for more ways to get creative, be sure to explore the Library’s subscription to Creativebug.  Creativebug is full of DIY inspiration, patterns, and crafting tutorials.  Be sure to also visit the Library’s YouTube Channel for Art Class with Gina, where our librarian, Gina, will show you how to paint gorgeous watercolor masterpieces.

We can’t wait to see your beautiful creations!

Stay in touchstay safe.
