As we approach the upcoming month and the holiday season we begin to reflect upon the importance of gratitude. On Monday, November 4 at 7:00 PM, Dr. Peggy DeLong, clinical and forensic psychologist, will be at the library to present The Gratitude Workshop: Harnessing the Power of Gratitude to Heal and Grow. Dr. DeLong will be showing attendees they can develop gratitude in creative and meaningful ways, as well as how gratitude can help with depression and anxiety. She will touch upon how gratitude can be incorporated into everyday living, and how we can find it regardless of what is going on in our lives or in the world.
Dr. DeLong uses her own inspirational journey with gratitude within her lessons. This journey is explored in her book “I Can See Clearly Now: A Memoir of Love, Grief and Gratitude.” Copies of her book with be available for purchase at the event.
