“A library is infinity under a roof.” —Gail Carson Levine
Livingston Library Community,
The Livingston Public Library offers so much more than books, DVD’s, and other traditional library materials! LPL also has a robust “Library of Things” that contains all sorts of tech, hobbies, and entertainment that you can borrow.
If you’re interested in computers and programming, or interested in teaching your little ones the basics of programming, you can borrow: Snap Circuits, Raspberry Pi, Cubetto, Code and Go Mouse, and Arduino. You can also learn about electricity by checking out an electricity monitor that tracks consumption by hour as well as power quality and overload.
Those looking to gain a new skill or hobby, can borrow a quilling kit to craft beautiful quilled creations, or can check out a bird watching kit, complete with a bird guide to help you discover and identify our local wildlife.
If you’re looking for new forms of entertainment, prepare to be dazzled by the stars by checking out a telescope, or you can enjoy shows offered on Netflix and Disney+ by borrowing a Roku. And, because technology and internet access is vital right now, ChromeBooks and mobile hotspots are also available to make sure that you’re always connected.
You can stay up to date on the current offerings of the Library of Things, as well as place reserves on items, here.
What will you discover?
