The Livingston Public Library has some exciting news! We are launching our first Library Podcast, called L-Town Radio!
L-Town Radio is another platform that we will be using to connect with you, members of the Livingston Community, to keep you informed, enriched, and entertained while our physical building remains closed. Our first L-Town Radio episode will be premiering today, April 15, and you can listen to it via SoundCloud, here.
In this first episode, Library staff will talk about a variety of topics, starting with what they’ve been reading, watching, and doing over these past few weeks of social distancing. I will be sharing one of my favorite poems. Here are some things that you can look forward to:
Are you interested in the works of Margaret Atwood and Erik Larson? During this episode Head of Adult Services, Katie, will share some of her thoughts on the works of these two outstanding authors. And if you’re stuck on what to read next, librarians Gina and Jessica will also be back with their popular Instagram video series LiviLit, where they will have a conversation about reading poetry & fantasy as a respite from reality.
If you miss the library’s Dungeons and Dragons program Joseph, Head of Technology, will talk about playing Dungeons and Dragons both online and in person!
For those looking for music commentary and pop culture, Joe from Adult Services (and our Musical Storytime program) commemorates the late, great songwriters John Prine and Adam Schlesinger, and discusses some of the fantastic concert albums currently available on Hoopla. And if you’re one of the millions who binge-watched Netflix’s Tiger King, you won’t want to miss librarian Archana’s segment on researching the many fascinating subjects explored in that documentary.
Remember, the Livingston Virtual Library and online platforms are open to you 24/7.
Stay in touch, and stay well,
~Amy
