“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” -Dr. Seuss
The lyrical verse of Dr. Seuss is something that transcends generations and can be enjoyed by families of all ages. The Livingston Public Library is excited to announce that Paper Mill Playhouse’s Children’s Theater on Tour students will be joining us once again on Saturday, February 1st at 2:00 PM to present Seussical Jr., an event where your favorite Dr. Seuss characters will come to life.
The Cat in the Hat will transport the audience from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus as he tells the story of Horton Hears a Who, a tale of friendship, loyalty, family and community. In this story, Horton the elephant discovers a speck of dust containing tiny people called the Whos whom he must protect from the naysayers and dangers while also protecting an egg that has been left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird.
This quality performance will run approximately 30-45 minutes, just perfect for you to enjoy with your little ones. Registration is not required for this event, and all children are welcome to attend.
In the meantime, the library has a wide selection of Dr. Seuss books for you to check out and enjoy at home from Green Eggs and Ham to Oh, the Thinks You Can Think!
