Dear Livingston Library Community,
Are you thinking about planning a fun and culturally stimulating outing? Did you know that you can borrow passes to popular museums with your library card? Well, you can!
Livingston Public Library cardholders may borrow passes to the following museums: Frick Collection, Grounds for Sculpture, Imagine That!!!, Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum, Jewish Museum, Montclair Art Museum, Morris Museum, and Newark Museum. These passes are available at the Library’s Patron Services Desk to Livingston cardholders, ages 18 years and older, who have cards in good standing. Each pass has different benefits in terms of the number of people the pass admits and discounts to shops and parking. Read more about the Museum Pass Program here.
Reserving your museum pass has never been easier! The Livingston Library now has Museum Key, which allows prospective museum-goers to reserve their pass in advance online and see what days the pass is available to check out for easy trip planning. All you need is your library card number handy.
With all of these great options, deciding which museum you want to visit first can be a little difficult. Barbara Bye of the Livingston Public Library Friends Group suggests Livingston Library Cardholders consider checking out the pass to the Jewish Museum. Running from April 12 to September 8, the Jewish Museum will be having an exhibit on Canadian singer, songwriter, poet, and novelist, Leonard Cohen. This exhibit is set to take up two floors in the museum and is projected to be extremely popular, and as Barbra mentions, “with a membership card visitors will be able to skip the line and get in.” You can read more about the exhibit here via the NY Times.
So come on down to the library and see all the things that your Livingston Library Card can do for you!
All the best,
Amy
