Livingston Library Community,
Is it even summer without a trip to the Jersey shore?
This week we invite you to travel to the shore from the Livingston Library’s program room with the “Shore to Please: Highlights of the Jersey Shore” on Monday, July 11th at 7pm. During this lecture, photographer and historian Mario Medici will take you on a journey from Sandy Hook all the way down to Cape May, exploring these shore towns and the fascinating stories that go along with them. Lighthouse, forts, historic buildings, and shipwrecks, we will be exploring it all!
Registration is not required for this event, and we invite all beachgoers and history buffs to attend. If you’re looking for more thing “Jersey Shore,” we invite you to check out these reads and more from the Library:
- The Jersey Shore Cookbook: Fresh Summer Flavors from the Boardwalk and Beyond by Deborah Smith
- Shark Attacks on the Jersey Shore: A History by Patricia Heyer
- Fourth of July, Asbury Park: A History of the Promised Land by David Wolff
We’ll see you at the shore!
Best,
Amy Babcock, Director
