Dear Livingston Community,
We may be stuck in self isolation, but the Livingston Public Library team is hard at work finding new ways to connect and promote services that you can use at home! It is difficult for all of us to be separated from our friends and thrown out of our routines. However, we all must work together and follow safety protocols to protect ourselves and our community. Please be sure to follow our blog for daily posts full of ways to keep your mind active and your heart inspired during these trying times.
One new thing that we’re excited about is our YouTube Channel! Here you can watch your favorite librarians talk about what they’re currently reading and enjoying via Hoopla Digital. We miss seeing all of your faces, and we hope this will make you feel like you are having a chat with your favorite librarian. With Hoopla, you can borrow up to 15 titles a month of ebooks, audiobooks, movies, television shows, comics, and music instantly with no wait time!
We also have World Language Materials available via Hoopla Digital and RB Digital. You can learn more about the collection, here.
For those looking for something a little bit more academic, your Livingston Library card also gives you access to World Book Kids Online, an interactive encyclopedia containing videos, games, maps, science projects, and more! Due to the current health crisis, World Book is giving complimentary access to additional Pre-K to Grade 12 resources. These resources include at home lessons ideas, remote learning ideas, and distance learning resources for parents. You can view these additional resources, here.
We miss you, please stay in touch. Your Livingston Librarians are, as always, here to help!
Be well, stay safe,
Amy
