Dear Livingston Library Community,
Tomorrow is Memorial Day. Here at the Library, we love the beginning of summer as much as everyone else (and maybe even a little bit more!). But we also love the true purpose of this holiday, honoring those who fell in World War I. We hope you’ll join us in watching this two-minute film of the incomparable Jeremy Irons reading aloud from “The Wasteland,” T.S. Eliot’s poem about the Great War, and consider those brave men and women in the armed forces who gave the ultimate sacrifice for us. For more poetry, books, and films about World War I, just ask a librarian. Because in the end, remembering together is one of the most important things we do at the Library.
All the best,
