Have you visited the New Books shelf in the Youth Department recently? In addition to all of our new reads, we also have two totally new types of items for you to check out: Wonderbooks and Launchpads!
Wonderbooks combine a traditional book with a built-in audiobook player, so you can have the best of both worlds! Choose the Read-Along mode for a classic audiobook experience, or switch to Learning Mode for literacy learning and fun. Wonderbooks need no additional technology and come fully charged – just push play and go!
Launchpads are our new family of learning tablets for the Pre-K crowd. These sturdy devices are pre-loaded with fun literacy games and social/emotional learning activities, so you don’t need WiFi to play them – perfect for your next road trip. The kits come with a charging cord for hours of fun. We have Launchpads available to use while you’re here in the library, and plenty to check out and take home!
