Not-So-Mixed-Up Magic Tricks

For the November meeting of the Yakety Yak Book Club, the children read Humphrey’s Mixed-Up Magic Trick by Betty Birney. At the meeting, they discussed their favorite parts of the story and then had a chance to learn some magic of their own! Amanda, with the help of teen volunteer Samay, taught the second- and third-graders two magic tricks.  They learned how to make a penny disappear, and how to make one coin turn into multiple coins!
