Message from the Director Meet an Author

Dear Livingston Library Community,

There’s no better way to celebrate back-to-school season than meeting a real live author at the Library!  So don’t let the 3 to 7-year-olds in your life miss our visit from Mike Malbrough, writer and illustrator of Marigold Bakes a Cake, on September 13th.  Not only will Mike will be reading aloud from his wacky, charming book and signing copies, he’ll be leading a fun, related art project (while supplies last).  No reservations are required, but do come early for parking and get ready for a great experience.

Because at Livingston Library, we help you give your children the world.

All the best,

Amy, Director – Livingston Library

Message from the Director: What We Give

Dear Livingston Library Community,

AmyIt’s Labor Day, and what better time to give a shout out to my staff at the Library? Without their amazing and varied talents, top-notch training, hard work, and, most of all, heartfelt dedication, we could never live up to our mission statement: “The Livingston Public Library, the place where reading, learning, and ideas converge to transform lives.”  For as Winston Churchill once said, “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.”  And if you agree that our team provides extraordinary service, the next time you see a library team member, please join me in thanking them for their good work.

Happy Labor Day!

All the best,

Amy, Director – Livingston Library
