As we navigate our way through social distancing, I find myself constantly looking for new ways to connect and support my community. There are small things I can do, like waving to neighbors when I go for a walk or ordering takeout to support local restaurants. Making and donating protective face masks for health care workers is a bigger way for me to help.
I read this article in the Star Ledger about making and hanging rainbows in the window as a sign of hope. I loved the idea and dug through my craft supplies to create my own rainbow to hang on my front door.
There are lots of other ways, big and small, to help us strengthen our sense of community. Please share your ideas in the comments below!
