Message from the Director: Feminist Fare at the Library

DirectorAmy.jpg

Dear Livingston Library Community,

“That’s why literature is so fascinating. It’s always up for interpretation, and could be a hundred different things to a hundred different people. It’s never the same thing twice.”― Sara Raasch, Snow Like Ashes

It is in this spirit that I am pleased to announce our new book club: Feminist Fare!  Please join us in reading and discussing books that focus on women’s rights and gender issues. Participants are encouraged  to share their thoughts and experiences while reading about women’s roles throughout history and across cultures. The books selected are inspirational, memorable, historical, and funny. All are  welcome.

The next meeting will be held on Thursday, October 11th, at 11:00 AM in the Library’s Local History Room.  The book selected for this gathering is Make Trouble by Cecile Richards. Subsequent meetings will be held on the second Thursday of each month. Copies of the selected book will be available at the Circulation Desk.
All the best,
Amy
