Message From the Director: Shop the Friends’ Book Sale – Online!

Amy Director

Livingston Library Community,

It can be argued that the Friends of the Livingston Public Library are one of the Library’s biggest supporters.  The Friends support the library through the funding of program initiatives such as: Life Long Lectures, Creative Arts programs, Senior Happening, and Summer Reading.  They also provide the library with our popular Museum Pass program and help the library to finance the purchase of technology, databases, and of course, books! You can read more about how the Friends support the Livingston Public Library, here.

One of the ways that the Friends of the Livingston Public Library raise funds to support these initiatives is through book sales. If you were disappointed that we were unable to have the  Friends’ annual Beach, Books, and Bling book sale this year, we have good news.  The Friends are now selling on eBay! In the Friends of the Livingston Public Library’s eBay store you can purchase books, dvds, board games, puzzles, and more! You have the option to ship the items to your home or select local pickup.  And the best part?  All of the proceeds go to supporting the Livingston Public Library.

You can view the Friends of the Livingston Public Library’s eBay store, here.

Happy Shopping!

Best,
Amy, Director

Message From The Director: We Get By With A Little Help From Our Friends

Amy Director

Livingston Library Community,

As we continue to face this unprecedented global health crisis, the Livingston Public Library staff has been working diligently to find innovative ways to bring you the library services that you value and depend on.

FriendsIn addition to you, the members of the Livingston Community, the Friends of the Livingston Public Library has remained one of our strongest supporters.  Our Friends group not only supports the library, but also helps to make all of our programs possible.  A few of the many programs and services supported by Friends include database and technology acquisition, museum passes, summer reading programs, creative arts, author visits, lectures, Senior Happening, film programs, ESL (English as a Second Language), and book and subscription purchases.

The Friends of the Livingston Public Library is currently launching their 2020-2021 Membership Drive. Because we have not been able to hold our annual book sale, membership is more important now than ever. When you join the friends, you will receive notification of your membership as well as seasonal newsletters mailed to your home with information on how the Friends have been supporting Library initiatives.
