Message From the Director: Having Fun Isn’t Hard, With a Livingston Library Card!

Amy Director

Livingston Library Community,

September is one of my favorite months of the year.  Can you guess why? Of course it is because it’s National Library Card Signup Month!

Your library card is one of the most powerful cards in your wallet. It not only gives you access to different worlds and cultures through thousands of books, but it also allows you to borrow and stream films, learn a new language, discover your family’s ancestry, research a particular subject of interest, borrow telescopes, explore museums, attend lectures and crafting workshops, and so much more.

One important resource your Livingston Library Card offers you is access to Tutor.com. Tutor.com is a free online service that allows you to connect with a live tutor for homework help, test prep, and even resume review.  It’s a great tool to have as the 2021 school year begins.  You can access Tutor.com by navigating to the Library’s website at www.livingstonlibrary.org and visiting the Resources A-Z  page.

We hope to see you at the library this September to open a new card, renew an existing card, or to use one of our many services.  When you visit us we’d also love to hear why your Livingston Library card is your favorite card to have in your wallet. Stop by the Patron Services Desk during the month of September and fill out a “Why I Love My Library Heart.”  Upon filling out the card you will be entered into a raffle to win a gift card to Anthony Francos.  Four winners will be chosen on Friday, October 1st.

Message From the Director: Book Blast Sale!

Amy Director

“Books to the ceiling,

Books to the sky,

My pile of books is a mile high.

How I love them! How I need them!

I’ll have a long beard by the time I read them.”

― Arnold Lobel

Livingston Library Community,
