Tuesday Night Movie: “Everything Everywhere All At Once”

For our next Tuesday Night Movie, we’ll be screening Everything Everywhere All At Once. Described by its studio, A24, as “a hilarious and big-hearted sci-fi action adventure about an exhausted Chinese American woman (played by Michelle Yeoh) who can’t seem to finish her taxes,” it is one of the most original, powerful, and highly-acclaimed films of 2022.

Just last week, the film won two Golden Globe Awards– one for Best Actress in a Motion Picture (Musical or Comedy) for star Michelle Yeoh, as well as Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture for Ke Huy Quan. Everything Everywhere All At Once was also named one of the top 10 films of 2022 by both the National Board of Review and the American Film Institute. And in his review for the Chicago Sun-Times, Jake Coyle wrote that the movie leaves you filled with “a liberating sense of limitless possibility… both in its freewheeling anything-goes playfulness and in its surprisingly tender portrait of existential despair.”

Our screening will start at 6:30 PM on Tuesday, January 24. It is free and open to the public, with no registration required. Everything Everywhere All At Once is rated R, and runs 2 hours, 19 minutes. The film’s dialogue is in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, and it will be screened with English subtitles for the hard of hearing.
