Color Your Stress Away | Thursday, August 5 and 19 @ 11am
Join the Livingston Public Library for drop-in coloring in the adult seating area! Registration is not required. Participants are expected to follow all current CDC guidelines.
Pinterest Inspired Adult Crafting: Custom Face Masks | Monday, August 23 @ 11am
Come get crafty with the Livingston Librarians, where we will be making fun custom face masks! This program is open to Livingston residents only and registration is required. Participants are expected to follow all current CDC guidelines. Registration opens Monday, August 9th at 10am.
Adult Art Workshop: Paper Quilling | Wednesday, August 11 @ 11am
Join us for a virtual art workshop, where we will be learning how to make beautiful pieces of art by paper quilling! Registration is required for this event. A link to the Zoom presentation will be emailed to registered attendees the day before the program is to take place. Registration opens Monday, July 26th at 10am.
Home Food Preservation: Tomatoes and Salsa | Wednesday, August 4 @ 11am
Capture the flavor of your garden tomatoes and enjoy them all winter long! Speaker Daryl Minch, Family & Community Health Sciences Educator from the Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Somerset County will discuss canning, freezing and dehydrating tomatoes, as well as how to make some yummy salsa! This event will take place virtually through Zoom. Registration is required. An email with information on how to access the Zoom event will be emailed to registered attendees the day before the program is to take place.
Return to Normal: But What Does That Look Like For Our Dogs? | Thursday, August 5 @ 7pm
During this workshop Stacey Samela, Dog Trainer and Behavior Consultant for Kathy Santo Dog Training, will address the topic by explaining how the past year may have created “velcro dogs.” Samela will cover how this could result in challenges when everyone (but the dog) leaves the house, resulting in behaviors such as barking, chewing, and anxiety. Samela will also help dog owners create a plan of solutions easy to implement to make the transition back to normal as seamless as possible. This program is scheduled to take place virtually through Zoom, so all creatures two and four legged are welcome to attend! Registration is required.
Weekends With the Oscars | Saturday, August 7 and 14 @ 2pm
Escape the summer heat and join the Livingston Public Library for the screenings of Oscar winning films! This event will take place in the Library’s program room. Attendees will be expected to follow all current CDC guidelines.
Rhonda Denet Presents “The Unforgettable Nat and Natalie Cole” | Friday, August 20 @ 1pm
This showcase celebrates the music of world-renowned crooner and pianist, Nat “King” Cole and his Grammy-winning daughter, Natalie Cole. This program will take place virtually and registration is required. An email with a link to a pre-recorded YouTube video will be emailed to registered attendees Friday, August 20th at 1pm.
Bookish Vibes | Thursday, August 19 @ 7pm
Join our virtual Bookish Vibes book club, where we will be discussing The Breakup Book Club by Wendy Wax. The best part? Wendy Wax will be joining us on Zoom! Registration is required for this event.
