The winter season is the perfect time to sit down and read a good book, and the only thing that makes winter reading more perfect is discussing what you’ve read with other readers. If you’re thinking about joining a book club this winter, why not join one of the Livingston Public Library’s? Here is what our adult book clubs will be discussing during the month of December.
Our book clubs take place virtually on Zoom and are open to everyone. Registration is required and can be done so on the Library’s event calendar. Information on how to access the Zoom event will be emailed to you the day before the program is to take place.
Are you an avid reader looking to discuss contemporary fiction, trending titles, and popular authors? If so, our Bookish Vibes book group is for you! Join us this month as we discuss The Kitchen House by Kathleen Grisson, who will also be joining our discussion! Copies of the novel will be available for check out at the Patron Services Desk.
Join Let’s Talk About Books, a monthly afternoon book club. You’re invited to come to the December meeting ready to discuss This Tender Land, by William Kreuger.
Can’t get enough of the true crime genre? Looking for something to do after binging shows like Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez, McMillions and The Vow? Then join the Livingston Public Library for the brand new virtual book club, Crime Time! Crime Time is a true crime and crime adjacent book club where readers will explore everything from historical crime to unsolved mysteries. This month we will be discussing The Monster of Florence by Douglas Preston.
“Unstuck in Time” revisits classic speculative fiction. Print copies of the selected monthly title will be available to check out from our circulation desk starting 4 weeks before the meeting. Ebook and audiobook editions are also available through Overdrive. This month we will be discussing Nobel Prize winner Kazuo Ishiguro’s 2005 novel Never Let Me Go.
