Great Women Artists of the Early 20th Century | March 1 @ 7pm
Art lecturer Mario Medici will present an art talk focusing on three women artists from this time period: Georgia Totto O’Keeffe, Mary Stevenson Cassatt, and Hildreth Meiere.
Wellness Wednesdays: Finding Added Sugar in Plain Sight | March 3 @ 11am
In partnership with The Department of Family and Community Health Sciences (FCHS), a part of Rutgers Cooperative Extension, this program will discuss sugar – an ingredient that has become increasingly present in American diets. In this workshop you will learn how your health may be affected by excess sugar, the differences between natural and added sugars, how and where to find sugars in the foods you eat, and how to figure out just how much sugar you are eating.
The Schuyler Sisters and Hamilton the Musical | March 8 @ 7pm
Join Rick Feingold as he presents an engaging lecture revolving around the Alexander Hamilton musical, with special focus on the Schuyler Sisters.
The Art of Pysanky: Ukranian Egg Decorating | March 15 @ 7pm
Celebrate the arrival of spring with instructor Jenny Santa Maria, who will talk about and demonstrate the art of Pysanky, also known as Ukrainian egg decorating.
Beer and Food: An Exploration | March 22 @ 7pm
Journalist and author John Holl, will examine beer styles and ingredients, and how it works with how dishes are prepared, sauces it might use, accompaniments and more.
Cancer Education Series | Nutrition for Colorectal Health and Cancer Prevention | March 24 @ 11am
In partnership with the Center for Asian Health (CAH )at the St Barnabas Medical Center and the Rutgers Cancer Institute of NJ (CINJ), this lecture will discuss foods that can help to maintain good colorectal health and act to prevent cancer. This lecture will also discuss current cancer screening guidelines for colorectal health.
Simplifying Weekly Meal Planning | March 31 @ 7pm
Writer and education Vanessa Young will teach you tips, strategies, and recipes for delicious weekly meals. She will cover stretching meals creatively over multiple days, delicious flavor combinations, kitchen organization, and simple strategies that work whether you are cooking for one or a crowd.
