Dear Livingston Library Community,

Books are a uniquely portable magic. – Stephen King

A book sale with over 20,000 items organized into over a dozen categories. A Collectors Corner for hard-to-find, signed, and unique or antiquarian books. DVD’s, Cd’s, even puzzles and toys. This may sound like a bibliophiles dream, but this dream becomes reality right here at the Livingston Public Library!

That’s right, the annual Friends of the Library BookFest is back! Beginning Thursday, October 25 (Friends members have early access starting at 2:30 pm on the 24th) and running through Sunday, October 28, the library’s program room will be transformed into a wonderland for book lovers. With hardcover books costing a dollar and paperbacks for 25 cents, the prices can’t be beat! Not only can you build your home library, but you will also be supporting the Livingston Public Library. Last year this sale generated over $7,000!  These funds have been used to support a wide range of programs and events – the Summer Reading Program, Literary Liaisons, Adult Art classes, the museum pass program, movies, and concerts are just a few examples. So be sure to stop by BookFest and find some magic to take home with you.

Because here at the Library we get by with a little help from our friends.
All the best,
Amy
