We are now well into 2020. About a month into a new year of reading! (See our post on 2020 reading challenges, here.) Today we want to ask you about what you are most excited to be reading. Are you looking forward to reading more of a certain type of book? Or a new release by a certain author? Tell us in the comments below!
Here is what your fellow librarians are excited to be reading this year:
Jessica, Adult Services: “I’m excited to start reading more purposefully. I’d also like to read a few more classics this year.”
Archana, Adult Services: “In the upcoming year, besides reading the latest by Harlan Coben, John Grisham and other surefire best sellers, I plan to read a fiction author or two whom I have never read before. I would also like to read a couple of inspirational biographies or memoirs by famous or not so famous people. Also, on another note, it takes me pretty long to finish a book (because of other things vying for my attention:), so I want to try and read books faster, and that way add a few more to my yearly list.”
Gina, Youth Services: “Heading into a new year I like to set goals, rather than resolutions. So of course, I set a reading goal. I usually set the number of books to be read at 25. I don’t include picture books as part of this goal, otherwise I would be done the first week of the year!”
No matter what you choose to read, the Livingston Library is the place to be! Don’t forget about our digital collections: Overdrive for eBooks and audiobooks, Hoopla for eBooks, audiobooks, music, and movies, and RB Digital for magazines.
